Registration Rules

Baku Tango Trophy 2026 · El Calor en Baku 2026

General provisions

Baku Tango Trophy 2026 takes place as part of the El Calor en Baku 2026 festival. The aim is to promote and develop Argentine Tango as a form of social and active leisure. Date: June 21–22, 2026. Venue: Baku, Azerbaijan, Old City (Icheri Sheher).

Participant requirements

  • Age 18 or older at the time of registration
  • Valid identity document (national passport or international passport)
  • Registration data must match passport data exactly
  • Full payment of the registration fee

Category participation rules

  • Each participant may register in each category only once
  • There is no limit on the number of categories entered
  • There is no limit on the number of partners

Registration process

  1. Complete the registration form at aztangofest.com
  2. Pay for your selected categories (deadline: June 17, 2026)
  3. Complete on-site accreditation with a valid identity document
  4. Receive your competition number
  5. Access the dance floor only with permission from the Organizing Committee

Accreditation

Accreditation is the mandatory second stage of registration, taking place on-site before the tournament begins. Participants who do not complete accreditation will not be admitted to the competition.

  • Present a valid identity document (national passport or international passport)
  • Tango Escenario participants: submit music in MP3 format on a USB drive to the DJ Judge and provide the choreographer's name
  • Any discrepancy between registration data and passport data may result in disqualification
  • All data declared during accreditation is considered an official sworn statement. Any subsequent discrepancy will result in sanctions

Cancellation and refund

Cancellations submitted on or before June 1, 2026 (inclusive): prepayment refunds are handled in accordance with applicable law. No prepayment refunds will be issued from June 1, 2026 onward.

Organizer rights

The Head Judge may issue a warning or disqualify participants who violate the following rules:

  • Use of prohibited figures
  • Unauthorized entry onto the dance floor (wrong heat)
  • Failure to observe ronda direction and navigation rules
  • Unethical behavior on or off the dance floor
